Why I'm making the laundry detergent I couldn't find

A founder's note on fragrance, transparency, and building a brand in public.

My name is Trevor, and I'm building a laundry brand. Not because the world needs another detergent, but because I couldn't find the one I wanted. [Personalize: where you live, what you do, one human detail]

The problem I kept running into

Every time I shopped for detergent, I felt like I had to choose: the "clean" options smelled like nothing, and the great-smelling ones didn't tell me much about what was inside. What I'm making

Eau de Linge is a plant-based, enzyme-powered laundry concentrate with fragrances composed like perfume: a top, a heart and a base. It's being formulated without parabens, phthalates, phosphates, dyes or optical brighteners, and it comes in a 1 L aluminum bottle you'll actually want to leave out.

We're launching with three: Santal Noir (pink pepper, sandalwood, smoked vanilla), Bergamot Bain (bergamot, orange blossom, white musk) and Fig Linen (green fig, fig leaf, cedar milk).
